Fanta guide

01 · Project

Project overview

Fanta is a Classic fantasy-football platform with prize pots run on-chain on Robinhood Chain. You build a squad, set a lineup every gameweek, and stack points: cash prizes pay only in USDG, settled automatically on-chain by the smart contract.

  • The project: a fantasy game with two prize layers — gameweek and half-season table — where entries, pots and payouts are handled entirely by the smart contract. The season follows the real calendar: after the opening round comes the return round.
  • Who it’s for: anyone who wants a more dynamic fantasy game, with an optional daily pot and an end-of-run jackpot on top of the classic table.
  • $Fanta — value and role: it is the platform utility token. It never enters the prize pool (prizes stay USDG). You hold it in the wallet where a direct burn is required: the league pass ($5 of value) and the transfer-market unlock ($1 per gameweek, if you use extras beyond the free quota). On top of that, 5% of every 5 USDG entry funds a buyback that buys and burns $Fanta automatically. As the player base and entries grow, more $Fanta leaves circulation — demand tied to real use of the game.

Economics — full picture

League registration pass (NFT)

Once per league. Total cost $25 in a single automatic transaction: you already need enough USDG and $Fanta in the wallet. The smart contract sends 20 USDG to that league’s final pot (opening-round jackpot) and burns $5 of value in $Fanta from your balance. On success you receive a registration NFT — the league pass: it unlocks play and eligibility for the final prize. If you join after the season has started, you get +66 points for every settled gameweek.

After the pass

With the NFT you can build a squad, set lineups and stack overall points with no mandatory recurring cost. You stay in the opening-round jackpot funded by passes (20 USDG each) and 20% of gameweek entries.

Gameweek entry (optional) — 5 USDG

Only those who pay compete for that gameweek’s prize. Automatic split of the entry:

  • 5% protocol fee
  • 5% buyback → $Fanta bought and burned automatically
  • 70% gameweek pot → top 3 · 50% / 30% / 20%
  • 20% accrued to the final pot

Final prize (opening round)

The final pot does not pay out all at once: it is released in 4 tranches — 20% / 20% / 20% / 40% (after gameweeks 5, 10, 15 and at the end of the opening round). Each tranche goes to the cumulative top 5 (NFT holders), with shares 40% / 25% / 15% / 12% / 8%. Each tranche amount = pool balance × weight / remaining weights. When the opening round closes, the return round starts with the same play schema (pass already bought, gameweeks and prizes).

Transfer market and $Fanta

Free: 1 transfer / position / gameweek. Beyond that, you burn $1 of $Fanta from the wallet (you must already hold it) and unlock 3 transfers in every position (max 3 GK + 3 DEF + 3 MID + 3 FWD) for that matchday. Deposits and burns fire automatically in the same transaction.

02 · Onboarding

How to play

Full path from access to the first payout. Each league needs its own NFT pass: pots do not mix.

  1. 1 · Connect the wallet

Open the wallet connection and authorise the account you will play with. Set (or confirm) the Robinhood Chain network: all Fanta contracts and USDG payouts run on that chain. After login your wallet is the prize recipient and the signer of play actions (pass, entry, lineup, market).

  2. 2 · Pick a league

Go to Leagues and choose the one you want to enter (Serie A, Premier League, Ligue 1, Bundesliga or La Liga). Each league has its own vault, NFT pass and table.

  3. 3 · Buy the registration pass (NFT)

The pass costs $25 total in a single transaction. The wallet must already hold enough USDG and $Fanta: the smart contract sends 20 USDG to the final pot and burns $5 of value in $Fanta from your balance. On success you receive the registration NFT — the league pass. With the NFT you are eligible for the final prize and can play every gameweek with no other mandatory cost. If the season has already started, the pass credits +66 points for every concluded gameweek.

  4. 4 · Build the squad

A 25-player squad (3 goalkeepers, 8 defenders, 8 midfielders, 6 forwards) on a 250-credit budget from that league’s Classic list. Give the team a made-up name: it shows in standings and ratings. Transfer rule: 1 free / position / gameweek; beyond that, burn $1 of $Fanta from the wallet (already in balance) and unlock 3 transfers in every position for that matchday (up to 3 GK + 3 DEF + 3 MID + 3 FWD).

  5. 5 · Set the lineup

Formation and eleven starters are free every gameweek. Submit the lineup by kick-off of that gameweek’s first match (on-chain countdown). If you don’t set one, the last valid XI is used; if none exists, 0 points. Points always go on the overall table, whether or not you paid that day’s USDG entry.

  6. 6 · Gameweek entry (optional) — 5 USDG

If you want the gameweek prize, enter with 5 USDG for that matchday. Only those who paid compete for the top 3 (50% / 30% / 20% of 70% of the pool). Without entry you still play and chase the final jackpot. The split (fee, buyback that buys and burns $Fanta, day, final) is automatic on-chain.

  7. 7 · Standings and prizes

In Standings you get a Gameweek tab (matchday scores) and Overall (cumulative / eligibility for final tranches). USDG prizes are paid automatically by the smart contract at the end of the gameweek and at each final tranche.

03 · Rules

Playing rules

Italian Classic, ranked on raw fantasy points (no goal thresholds, no head-to-head). The base rating comes from match statistics, not newspaper marks. Classic bonuses and maluses are added on top.

Squad

25 players from that league’s Classic list, 250-credit budget: 3 goalkeepers, 8 defenders, 8 midfielders, 6 forwards. List players only. No P2P trades. Buys and sells always at list price (spread 0). Give the team a name: it shows in standings and ratings.

Transfers

After lock: 1 free transfer per position per gameweek. A $1 $Fanta burn unlocks 3 transfers in every position for that matchday (max 3 GK + 3 DEF + 3 MID + 3 FWD). The burn covers the gameweek, not a single move. Formation and XI stay free.

Free phase and lock

Until kick-off of the first official gameweek, transfers are unlimited and free. Then quotas apply. “Clear squad” in the free phase is your choice, not a system reset. The beta squad carries into the official season; points do not: beta and official tables are separate and both start from zero.

Updated player list

If the player list is remapped, the squad is reconciled: anyone off the list leaves squad and XI, credits are recalculated. If the squad breaks (gap, over budget, too many in a position) a free-transfer window opens with no burn, and closes on its own once the squad is valid again. Selling on purpose does not reopen it.

Lineup

Every gameweek: 11 starters (1 goalkeeper + formation) and a 7-player bench, in order. Subs come on in that order when auto-sub fires. Classic formations: 3-4-3, 3-5-2, 4-3-3, 4-4-2, 4-5-1, 5-3-2, 5-4-1. Emergency: 3-6-1 and 6-3-1.

Deadline

The lineup locks at kick-off of that gameweek’s first match. The exact time is on-chain (countdown in the app). After lock the XI cannot change.

No lineup set

The last valid lineup is reused automatically (same XI and same bench). If none exists — first gameweek, or you never set one — that gameweek scores 0 points. No walkover: we do not play head-to-head.

Fantasy points

For every player who counts in the lineup: fantasy rating = base rating + bonuses − maluses. Gameweek score = sum of the 11 effective slots + defensive modifier. The table is the raw sum of these gameweeks.

Robinhood Chain rating

Scale 4–8 in half points, from match stats (minutes, duels, passes, shots, saves…). Goals, assists, cards, goals conceded and penalties sit in bonuses/maluses, not in the rating. Minutes: 0’ = did not play → auto-sub; 1–14’ = no rating → auto-sub; ≥ 15’ = full rating.

Bonuses and maluses

  • Goal scored+3
  • Assist+1
  • Penalty saved+3
  • Clean sheet (goalkeeper only, ≥ 45’ played, 0 conceded)+1
  • Yellow card−0.5
  • Red card−1
  • Goal conceded (goalkeeper)−1
  • Own goal−2
  • Penalty missed−3

A penalty goal counts as a normal goal (+3), with no extra. If there is a red, only −1 applies: yellows in that match are not added. No winning-goal bonus, no captain ×2.

Defensive modifier

Only if the formation has at least 4 defenders. Take the base rating (no bonuses/maluses) of the goalkeeper and the 3 best defenders among those actually counting. Average of these 4 ratings:

  • average ≥ 7 → +6
  • average ≥ 6.5 → +3
  • average ≥ 6 → +1
  • average < 6 → 0

If after auto-sub you lack a goalkeeper or three defenders with a rating, the modifier is 0. With 3-defender formations it is always 0.

Bench auto-sub

If a starter gets no rating (did not play or under 15’), the first bench player in the same position, in bench order, who has a valid rating comes on. Maximum 5 substitutions per gameweek. The sub brings the full fantasy rating (base + bonuses/maluses). Nobody in that position on the bench → that slot scores 0. No cross-position cover (a midfielder does not cover a forward).

Edge cases

  • Postponed match: points for that fixture are awarded when it is played. The Fanta gameweek does not close until every match on the matchday has finished (full time, extra time or penalties).
  • Rearranged to another day: same rule. We wait for the real result; no estimate and no walkover zero.
  • Match awarded by the league: it counts as finished and the official outcome is used.
  • Abandoned or cancelled fixture: the Fanta gameweek stays open until official status is finished (full time, penalties) or awarded.
  • Starter with no rating and the same-position bench empty or already used: slot scores 0. Cover every position on the bench.
  • Player missing from the match sheet (no minutes in that fixture): no rating → auto-sub, same as not playing.
  • Incomplete XI at deadline (empty slots after a remap, or a lineup never closed at 11): that gameweek is not scored → 0 points.
  • Second yellow / red: a single sending-off penalty (−1), not −0.5 for the yellow plus −1.
  • Outfielder in goal: if that match’s stats class them as a goalkeeper, conceded goals, saves and (if ≥ 45’ and 0 conceded) the clean sheet apply. Otherwise their squad-position rules stay.
  • Late join (official season): at the pass you get +66 points for every already-settled gameweek, then you play normally.
  • Beta (early gameweeks, currently GW1–GW2): play with no pass and no entry. $Fanta prizes to the gameweek top 3 and the beta mini-table top 3 (50/30/20). The squad stays; official points start from zero at the first paying gameweek.
  • Without the 5 USDG entry you stay on the overall table and in the opening-round jackpot. You do not enter that gameweek’s prize.

Out of this version

No Mantra, no head-to-head, no home advantage, no wildcards, no third-party marks. The rating is Fanta’s statistical engine.

FAQ and troubleshooting

Do I have to pay 5 USDG every gameweek?
No. It’s optional. With the league pass (NFT) you can set lineups and sit on the table without entry: you stay in the final prize. The 5 USDG only unlock that gameweek’s pot.
Are prizes paid in $Fanta?
Never. Gameweek prizes and the opening-round jackpot are USDG only, settled on-chain. $Fanta is utility: you hold it for the pass and market unlock (where it is burned), and part of gameweek entries buys and burns it automatically via buyback — it is not the prize.
Does one league pass cover all leagues?
No. Each league has separate pots and NFTs. To enter another league you buy another pass ($25 total: 20 USDG into the final pot + a $5 burn of $Fanta already in the wallet).
What if I don’t set a lineup?
The last valid lineup is reused (XI and bench). If none exists, that gameweek scores 0 points. The deadline is kick-off of that gameweek’s first match, shown in the countdown.
Do I need $Fanta in the wallet to register?
Yes. For the pass you need USDG ($20 to the final pot) and enough $Fanta to cover the $5 burn. In the same transaction the smart contract deposits the USDG and burns $Fanta from your wallet.
What if a match is postponed?
Points for that fixture arrive when it is played. The Fanta gameweek stays open until every match on the matchday has finished. A rearrangement to another day does not zero the points and does not close early.
A starter doesn’t play: who comes on?
The first bench player in the same position, in list order, who played at least 15 minutes. Maximum 5 auto-subs. If there is no cover, that slot scores 0.
Can I join after the season has started?
Yes. At the official pass you get +66 points for every already-settled gameweek, then you set lineups and stack at the normal rate. In beta the pass is not required.

Play network: Robinhood Chain. Prizes and pots: USDG only.
